Deadly pretentious. I guess that’s how to describe this. Thematically like Lukas Moodysson‘s films all mixed in one. Mrs. bourgeoisie writes upper class journalism on students who are also prostitutes. And goes mad with the porn watching slackers of her own family, before losing it completely. You might already have guessed that it’s in French. Then, of course, there are interesting aspects too. The complexity of the depiction of the prostitutes is commendable, with both opportunism, vulnerability, pride and abuse. But it’s far too messy in the framing story.
Dödspretto. Det är väl den bästa beskrivningen av det här. Tematiskt lite som Lukas Moodyssons samtliga filmer blandade i en. Borgarfru gör överklassjournalistik om studenter som också är prostituerade. Och lackar på att hennes egen familj är porrtittande slackers, för att sen tappa koncepten helt. Du kanske redan gissat att det är på franska. Sen finns det som vanligt intressanta aspekter också. Komplexiteten i skildringen av de prostituerade är lovvärd, med både opportunism, utsatthet, stolthet och övergrepp. Men det blir för kladdigt i ramberättelsen.
